〖Securities Times〗Luen Mei Quantum Creating New Growth Points
Publishing time:2020.04.01 Source: Securities Times

On 31st March, Luen Mei Quantum made an announcement that it would join hands with the central enterprise China Huadian Corporation to invest in operating the energy station of the National Exhibition and Convention Center.

Analysts have pointed out that as the first strategic move of Luen Mei Quantum in southern China, the project of the National Exhibition and Convention Center is a benchmark with great strategic value no matter in location, size or selection of technical routes.

According to data, the National Exhibition and Convention Center is a landmark of China jointly constructed by the Ministry of Commerce and Shanghai. Invested with RMB16 billion in total, it covers an area of 1,470,000m2. Throughout 3 years of great efforts, it has made exhibitions possible all the year round for 365 days. It has become a national window of China which is open to foreign countries and promotes investments. Shanghai Hongqiao Central Business District, where the project is, has gradually turned into a new urban landmark of Shanghai with tremendous regional development potential.

As the world’s biggest single building and exhibition complex, the National Exhibition and Convention Center has adopted many sophisticated technologies like intelligent photovoltaic power generation systems and has become a role model of energy conservation in the field of architecture. The energy station, jointly constructed by Luen Mei Quantum and Huadian Fuxin Energy Corporation Limited with RMB0.56 billion, has adopted the world’s most advanced “combined cooling, heating and power” technology.

It is reported that this distributed energy system uses natural gas as main fuel of cooling, heating and air conditioning for the National Exhibition and Convention Center. The power generated by the system is enough for equipment consumption inside the station, while the surplus power can be transmitted back for grid-connected combined cooling, heating and power generation.

The above analysts have reported that China is still in an initial stage of using natural gas distributed energy. The utilization of natural gas distributed energy presents extremely high requirements for technologies and management. This successful acquisition reflects how farsighted Luen Mei Quantum is in southern Chinese markets, which are likely to become brand new strategic growth points of Luen Mei Quantum in the field of environmental services.

Luen Mei Quantum has employed renewable energy technologies since a long time ago as well. It takes the lead in China in “heat supply by reclaimed water source heat pumps”. In Shenshui Bay of Shenyang, it has implemented a project of water source heat pumps with China’s highest installed capacity of single machines. “Heat pump self-cleaning technology”, independently developed by Luen Mei Quantum, is China’s first and world’s leading technology.

Luen Mei Quantum previously reported that it was paying close attention to the heating plan for areas at lower and middle reaches of Yangtze River, and it would be confident to expand its heating services in southern China once it found any opportunities in southern Chinese markets.

As a leading A-share clean heat supplier, Luen Mei Quantum has ploughed deep in the field of clean heating for more than a decade. In 2018, its average heating coverage was about 62,000,000m2. Luen Mei Quantum has made fruitful achievements in environmental technologies, delicacy management and industry-university-research collaboration. Guohui Environmental New Energy, which is a subsidiary of Luen Mei Quantum, is a post-doctoral innovation base of Liaoning Province and a rare national high-tech enterprise in the heating industry. It owns 22 patents.
