The heat-supply system is an important part of the utilities as it is closely related to the quality of people’s lives; a heat-supplying enterprise assumes the critical responsibility for ensuring the livelihood of people. 

In 2017, Guoxin Environmental Protection was responsible for tearing down and reconnecting many small boilers and renovating and improving the heating pipe networks in many old neighborhoods, including the teardown and reconnection of 5.4 million square meters originally managed by Huanggu District Heat-supplying Company and 2.16 million square meters originally managed by Dongling Heat-supplying Company.

In 2019, Guorun Low-carbon invested about RMB1.2 million in renovating the heat-supplying facilities in old neighborhoods under its management. It replaced 2,413 seriously rusted chamber valves of various types on the secondary network and 584 meters of secondary network pipes.

Well aware that eco-environment protection means protecting productivity, Luen Mei Quantum closely integrates environmental protection with production and maximally reduces the “three types of wastes” in the process of production; it rigorously controls the discharge of pollutants to preserve the eco-environment.

While laying down its environment self-monitoring plan to the national standards, Luen Mei Quantum brings in qualified third parties to conduct testing and input the results in its environment self-monitoring system, and then makes them publicly available.

In 2019, Luen Mei Quantum invested close to RMB250 million in upgrading and improving environmental protection facilities such as dust abatement, desulfurization, and denitrification.

Luen Mei Quantum takes the initiative to fulfill its corporate social responsibility. It consistently and equally emphasizes creating economic value and giving back to and serving society; it actively involves itself in regional development in a bid to promote social development and progress.

In 2019, Luen Mei Quantum paid a total of RMB438 million in taxes;

In 2018, Luen Mei Quantum paid a total of RMB416 million in taxes, RMB155 million of which was paid by its member company Hunnan Thermal Power, which was ranked at the 51st place in Shenyang in terms of tax payment.

By the end of 2019, Luen Mei Quantum had created close 4,000 jobs directly or indirectly; every year it implements its plan for fresh graduates, called the “Quantum Talent Plan”.
