As for the heating source, the company, follows its permanent operating principle of "seeking further improvement throughout the entire production process", continuously carries out in-depth and multi-dimensional heating source upgrade in the aspects of heat conservation and emission to ensure the satisfaction of ultra-low emission standards of all the sources, minimize the impact on the environment, and recycle the heat discharged through flue gas waste heat recovery technologies to continuously improve the energy efficiency of heating sources.

As for the heating network, the company is committed to the continuous improvement of the operation and management of the primary and the secondary networks, the reduction of water leakage, the balance improvement of the heating network, and optimization of the heating sources and networks based on the smart operation platform.

In the heating year of 2021-2022, Luen Mei Quantum selected 2 residential quarters in its heating area, with a total networked area of 467,900 sqm and a heating area of 372,000 sqm, as the demonstrative application of Luen Mei Quantum Smart Heating 2.0. The project focuses mainly on the interaction between the station and the household (unit) to balance the hydraulic across the secondary network and balance the heat load between the units and to ultimately save the energy, reduce the energy consumption and improve the efficiency. By the end of the heating year, the unit heat consumption of the two projects experienced an average year-on-year reduction of 16%, showing great effects in energy saving and carbon reduction effects, and considerable economic and environmental benefits.
