Luen Mei made new achievements in independent R&D in 2020. Its high-tech subsidiary Guohui Environment Protection was involved in seven R&D topics and projects in 2020. 13 of its patents applied were granted, 12 of which were patents for utility models and one of which was software copyright. 

For many years Luen Mei Quantum has been upholding the principle of innovation as a driving force and lean management as its cornerstone. It attaches great importance to independent R&D on clean heat-supplying technology, as evidenced by its investment in R&D and technological innovation amounting to RMB23.796 million in 2019 alone. With this massive investment in R&D, it has seen its number of technological patents increase and their quality improve in a steady manner. By the end of 2020, it accumulatively owned 37 patents, 27 of which were patents for utility models and one was software copyright. 

It goes without saying that science and technology is the No. 1 factor of productivity. With the application of its many innovative technologies, Luen Mei Quantum has gained an obvious edge in the field of clean heating; it has become a benchmark for clean heating and is generally recognized and approved in the industry. 

In the second half of 2020, China’s first clean heating service certification was conducted by a certification institution jointly approved by CHIC and CNCA. In this, Luen Mei Quantum passed the AAAAA certification for national clean heating service thanks to its leading-edge technologies such as efficient thermal pump, afterheat recycling, and smart heat supply, as well as its high level of operational capability of multi-energy heating such as clean coal use, natural gas, and biomass. 

In the “Spearheading High-quality Urban Development: Top 10 Clean Efficient Energy Supply Projects” selection jointly initiated by China City Energy Development Industrial Alliance and the publication China City Energy Weekly, Luen Mei Quantum’s multi-energy integrated centralized clean heating project was included in the top 100 and won the special single award “Most Duplicable and Promotable Typical Project for Clean Efficient Heat Supply”. 

Meanwhile, as shown in the Circular about Certification of Municipal-level Enterprise Technology Center by the bureau of industry and information technology of Shenyang City, Guohui Environment Protection was designated as a “Municipal-level Enterprise Technology Center”. This was in full recognition of its clean, efficient, and smart heating technologies and of its achievements in innovation, which were attributed to its respect of technology and adherence to innovation.  

In order to build a sustainable innovation mechanism and consolidate its various patented technologies, Luen Mei Quantum actively explores its direction of development against the backdrop of “peak carbon emissions” and “carbon neutrality” and enhances its core competiveness. It has recently, through registration, founded Luen Mei Smart Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Shenyang).
